Rotary is an international service organization of business and professional men and women. Founded in 1905, Rotary was the world's first service organization. Today, Rotary has more than 30,000 clubs in over 160 countries around the world.

The Rotary ideal of service is fostered through four areas: the development of acquaintances as the opportunity for service; the promotion of high ethical standards in business and professions; through service in one's personal, business and community life; and the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace.

The Springfield Rotary Club was started in 1914. It was the 98th club to be formed. Springfield Rotarians meet every Monday, except holidays, at noon at Casey's Restaurant in Springfield. The one-hour meeting includes a meal, an opportunity for fellowship and updates on club business and service projects. Most meetings feature a speaker who gives a short, informative program. Speakers and topics range in scope from local to international and from current events to past history. The Springfield Rotary Club is part of Rotary District 6670 which includes 54 clubs and covers the southwest quadrant of Ohio.

All events are listed in our calendar.

A weekly newsletter is also published for Rotarians.
