Vocational Talks
 | | Left to right, Bonnie Bartos, Mel Marsh and Jenny Rousculp | Three Rotarians talked about their vocations. Bonnie Bartos always knew she wanted to be a nurse. Her career path was serendipitous taking her from managed care in a locked unit at a prison nursing to vice president of nursing to clinical and financial analysis. After doing independent consulting on a product she developed, she decided to join a world healthcare software company and says she has found her “dream job” as she can work at home in her flip flops redesigning healthcare processes to improve efficiency, increase safety, and typically save about $1 million per organization. Jenny Rousculp served the MRDD programs of 15 other counties prior to Clark. She highlighted the lifetime of help that Clark County Board of MRDD provides for families. Services range from early intervention (birth to two years) to residential services with 24/7 care to adult day services that provide employment for 550 adults plus recreation, habilitation and life skills. Community living services is the point of contact for 800 individuals with MRDD living in Clark County. Mel Marsh has created two businesses that showcase her unique talents. She helps organizations be more effective. Her services include strategic planning, proactive performance management for employees, training, and meeting and retreat facilitation. Marsh encouraged everyone to define desired outcomes in advance and describe the steps and actions needed to reach goals. Mello Pottery, her other business, lets her tap her artistic side as she hand throws ceramics.

Changes at Casey’s
The main entrance to Casey’s will be closed on Monday, July 7, in order to fix the pavement. Please enter Casey’s parking lot either from West Main Street or from the shopping center.
In an effort to be more green, Casey’s Restaurant will no longer preset water at each place. They are asking any Rotarian who wants water to get a glass as he or she comes into the meeting room. Coffee and tea will continue to be available at the door as well.
