Assistance included prescriptions for a child with Tourette Syndrome, a communication device for a child with autism, sight reading materials for a child with Downs Syndrome, a wheelchair restraint for the van of a family whose child has Chromosome 1 syndrome (only 28 children have this diagnosis in the U.S.), an adaptive swing for a girl with Cerebral Palsy and profound mental retardation, and an adaptive car seat for a child with muscular problems.
